Do stop by Hay Lake while you're in this part of Michigan. This lake is so wonderful. During the summer here at Hay Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hay Lake are in the 10's. Soar down the rapids of Pine River in a kayak; why not take a refreshing hike along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail.

While you're here at Hay Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Cadillac, and camping is available at Hammarstead Lake Camp Ground. A quick tour to Dyer Creek right next door to Hay Lake is a splendid idea, and you can hit the slopes at Caberfae Peaks close at hand.

by the McKenzie Ski Trail, and Rodeway Inn Cadillac is a wonderful site to get some rest. The amount of rain that falls at Hay Lake is close to the national average; during the month of September you get the most rain around here;
February is the month with the least moisture. Yeah, come here to Hay Lake for a perfect time. Playing golf is lots of fun at Wedgewood Golf Club, and hiking along the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile Trail is tremendous fun.
