A spree to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is recommended, and if you came for an overnight stay Sleepy Bear Camp Grounds is a brilliant place to camp. Not far from Hatt Pond you stumble on Pyramid Point, and do stop at Shell Lake, it's a scenic lake. Best Western Scenic Hill Resort is a tremendous place to get some rest, and camping is available at Lime Lake Campground. After a long day outdoors Great Wolf Lodge Traverse City is a good place to spend a night or two; King's Challenge Golf Club is a golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
