     This is a perfect neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Marl Lake is a lake in close proximity, and dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn Battle Creek. From a rainfall point of view Harvey Lake is a rather common location; most of the rain falls through September while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Baymont Inn and Suites Battle Creek/I-94 is a great choice, and Harvey Lake is a fine place  
   to visit for more than one day, Function Junction Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. Harvey Lake is not far at all from Battle Creek, and Pine Creek is close to Harvey Lake and is always a joy to stop at.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool things just keep reading. For the duration of the long summer days at Harvey Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter brings
 
               highs down to the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Harvey Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Mud Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Harvey Lake has to offer, you can camp at Timberlake Campground.

This is a nice, family oriented campground. It is the quietest campground I've ever been to. It's quiet in the evening and the morning too. It's wooded, has a decent swiming area, fishing, nice playground, and the bathrooms are quite clean. Also, the people are friendly and they don't overcharge by too much in the camp store. There are badmitten, volleyball nets and horseshoe pits. I would certainly return....
