This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Marquette is a nice location to do that, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Holyoke Trail. The annual rainfall here at Harkin Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here while February is ordinarily the driest month. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Marquette is a perfect choice,       and Harkin Lake is not the only spot close by, Dollar Lake is a close by lake. Harkin Lake truly is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. A tremendous nearby hotel is Comfort Suites Marquette; you can run the rapids of Dead River. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Harkin Lake is Big Garlic River; if you've had enough of Harkin Lake, Harlow Lake is close by. Summer at Harkin Lake arrives                  with high temperatures in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Harkin Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
