A splendid close by hotel is Fairfield Inn By Marriott Mt Pleasant, and if you've had enough of Half Moon Lake, Bass Lake is close by. The annual rainfall here at Half Moon Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is mostly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. High temperatures at Half Moon Lake through the summer are in the 80's. Summer       nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Half Moon Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Leisure Lake Family Campground is always a tremendous experience, and people from Mount Pleasant love to come here. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn University Park is a great location to spend a night or two, and a nice place for whitewater                  paddling is Chippewa River. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great world it would be. Nearby lakes? Sure, Kittle Lake is next to Half Moon Lake, and a great site to camp here at Half Moon Lake is South Shore Campground.
