Why not camp at Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground since you're here at Hager Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Sturgeon River. If you came for an overnight stay Lower Dam Lake Campground is a fine location to camp, and let's not forget Erickson Creek which is a stream that you may run into while here. But wait, there's more to do near Hager Lake. If you get bored of Hager Lake, you could also explore nearby Toby Lake;

This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Iron River, Mi, and if you come at the right time of year,
Perch River offers some magnificent whitewater. Hager Lake is not the only place close by, Kunze Lake is a close by lake; Hager Lake is right by the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails.
