The yearly rainfall here at Gyttja Lake is about average; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. A good place to camp here at Gyttja Lake is Peterson Bridge S Campground; Brandy Creek is one of the streams nearby       that might be worth going to. A day on the slopes of Caberfae Peaks is just what you need; there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the McKenzie Ski Trail. Lake Mitchell is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Cadillac Sands Resort, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Gyttja Lake, you could also stop                  at close by Pleasant Lake, and if you're here, do take a journey to Turnbolm Point. Just can't get enough of Gyttja Lake. Camping at Birchwood Resort and Campgrounds is always a great experience; going for a hike on the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile Trail is always a wonderful adventure. During the days of summer at Gyttja Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Gyttja Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
