Country Village RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and you obtain a great view of Summit Mountain from here. Partridge Creek flows through this area, and if you come at the right time of year, Escanaba River - Middle Branch offers some pleasant whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. On a nice day you can explore Grass Lake, a swamp near Gunpowder Lake. The annual rain here at Gunpowder       Lake is about average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Gunpowder Lake is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a glorious site to camp nearby; do explore Lake Miller, it's a beautiful lake. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Gunpowder Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 20's while                  the cold winter nights at Gunpowder Lake are in the 0's. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. You'll discover a delightful lake called Lake Minnie near Gunpowder Lake; a perfect close by hotel is Best Western Country Inn. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Marquette is a tremendous site to spend a night or two; you'll probably meet some people from Marquette here. This lake is so wonderful.
