During your journey to Guard Lake you'll meet some people from Sault Ste. Marie for sure. The yearly rainfall here at Guard Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is April. This lake is so wonderful. Maple Hill is painless to spot from Guard Lake, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Horseshoe Bay Trail.       Kewadin Shores Casino Hotel is a magnificent location to get some rest; if you're here, you could also check out gorgeous East Lake. At Guard Lake all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Guard Lake. Having a nice time at Guard Lake is easy.
