Paddling on Escanaba River - Middle Branch is so much fun, and Lake Gribben is not far at all from Marquette. What a place this is for outdoors folks. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Marquette while you're here, and Comfort Suites Marquette is a good location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Holyoke Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Country Village       RV Park is a fine place to camp. Dry warm beds await you at Marquette-Days Inn, and camping is available at Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Lake Gribben; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. Soar down the rapids of Escanaba River - East Branch in a kayak; hey, Schweitzer Creek is a good local stream. High temperatures at Lake Gribben through                  the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and the overnight is fairly chillier of course, typically in the 50's.
