Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Great Lakes.       Stay the night at Camp Walden; if you've had enough of Great Lakes, Thompson Lake is nearby. At Great Lakes all through the warm months highs are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Great Lakes drop into the 0's. From a precipitation point of view Great Lakes is a reasonably common place; during September this area sees                  the most rain, and the driest month is February.
