Comfort Inn Munising is a nice spot to get some rest; Grants Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Wide Water Campground is a wonderful local campground. A splendid close by hotel is AmericInn Munising, and the Valley Spur Ski Trail offers hiking at its best. All through the summer at Grants Lake highs are commonly in the 70's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. Highs during the winter       are regularly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Grants Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Grants Lake is a reasonably normal place; the wettest month of the year is typically September, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Grants Lake, you could also stop by beautiful Blue Lake; tremendous hiking is available                  along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Grants Lake. If time allows, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a national park worth visiting; hiking is a popular thing to do around Grants Lake; Haywire Grade ORV Trail is a perfect local trail.
