A great place to camp here at Gorrel Lake is Tubb's Lake Resort, and a delightful close by hotel is Holiday Inn Mt. Pleasant, Mi. Gorrel Lake gets a typical amount of rain; during September this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. You'll meet a lot of people from Big Rapids here; you'll stumble on a scenic lake called Merrill Lake. Do have a look at Lassen Lake in close proximity to Gorrel Lake, it's a wonderful lake.
