A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Ginpole Lake; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Spider Ponds is a nearby lake that you could explore, and soar down the rapids of Au Train River in a kayak. A lake close by is Spirit Lake,       and if you came for an overnight stay Laughing Whitefish Campground is a nice site to camp. Have a good hiking adventure along the Chatham Ski Trail, and North Branch Slapneck Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area is a tremendous place to get some rest; why not camp at Au Train Lake Campground if you're here at Ginpole Lake. On a wonderful day at Ginpole Lake                  you can take a hike along the Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail. For the period of the warm months highs here at Ginpole Lake get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Ginpole Lake temperatures dip to the 10's.
