Through the warmest time of the year at Gillan Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Gillan Lake sink into the 10's.       And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Gillan Lake. Blackmer Lake is a pleasant lake in the vicinity of Gillan Lake, and there's nice hiking along the Cedar Creek Cycle Trail. Gillan Lake is not far at all from Muskegon-Norton Shores, and don't leave Gillan Lake without first going for a hike along the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail. Lakes are such calm places, why not visit Fogg Lake in the neighborhood of Gillan Lake; camping is available at Oak Knoll                  Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Gillan Lake gets a normal amount of rain; through the month of September you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. A brilliant close by hotel is Double JJ Log Homes; golf can be played at Thoroughbred Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful.
