From a rainfall point of view Gilbert Lake is a rather typical spot; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. A good close by hotel is Double JJ Log Homes; going for a hike on the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail is always a splendid adventure. Not sufficient       hours in a day to enjoy this place. Pine Haven Camp Ground is a great local campground; if you've had enough of Gilbert Lake, School Section Lake is nearby. At Gilbert Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Gilbert Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. You could also                  take a look at Rossel Lake since you're here at Gilbert Lake; it's nearby, and nearby you locate the Woods Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
