For the duration of the summertime at George Lake highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to George Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Swiss Valley is a brilliant spot to do that, and       glide down the rapids of Christiana Creek in a kayak. A picturesque lake like Goose Lake in close proximity to George Lake is a wonderful place to have a look at, and while you're here and you like golf, you can go to Garver Lake Golf Course. George Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Camping is available at Sunny Haven Recreation Park; you'll perhaps meet some people from South Bend-Mishawaka here. If you come at the right time of year, East Race offers some great whitewater.
