Indianhead is a very popular ski area close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Bobcat Lake Campground; a splendid close by hotel is Best Western Concord Inn. Meander Creek is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at, and Gaylord Lake is not the only place close by, Meander Lake is a close by lake. For the period of the long       summer days, highs typically are in the 70's at Gaylord Lake. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 10's; during the dark hours in the winter at Gaylord Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. Gaylord Lake is located in the Gogebic Range. Going for a hike on the Alligator Eye Trail is always a wonderful adventure; if you get bored of Gaylord Lake you could also stop at nearby Narrow Lake. The amount of                  rain that falls at Gaylord Lake is close to the national average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing things to do in the Gogebic Range.
