     A brilliant spot to camp here at Gaylanta Lake is Sno-trac Camper Village; while you're here, you could also check out delightful Lunden Lake. An average amount of precipitation falls at Gaylanta Lake; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Otsego Club and Resort is a pleasant site to spend a night or two; camping at Shady Acres Campground is always  
   a tremendous experience. A glorious nearby hotel is Treetops Resort, and Gingell Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by.
High temperatures at Gaylanta Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Gaylanta Lake.

...setting for fantastic Alpine and Nordic skiing. Twenty-three downhill runs wind their way through the majestic hardwood forest that covers the 400-acre winter park. Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Treetops also offers extreme (snow) tubing. The tubing ride is available by 1.5 hour sessions for up to 30 people at a time. Advance reservations can be made for this exhilarating experience.
