Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a very wonderful place to check out in the vicinity of Garvey Ponds, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail. The Haywire Grade ORV Trail is a delightful hiking trail close to Garvey Ponds. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Garvey Ponds has       to offer, you can camp at Wide Water Campground. Garvey Ponds gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. On a tremendous day at Garvey Ponds you can take a hike along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail; AmericInn Munising is a great spot to get some rest. For the period of the summertime here at Garvey                  Ponds, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Garvey Ponds temperatures dip to the 0's. Au Train River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby; McNeil Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Garvey Ponds.
