On a pleasant day at Gadwall Lake you can take a hike along the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail, and Brule Mountain is a brilliant local ski area. Going for a hike on the Anvil Lake Trail System is always a wonderful adventure; dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Iron River, Mi. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Gadwall       Lake, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, usually in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's while the cold winter nights at Gadwall Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Gadwall Lake called the Kimball Creek Trail, and everyone close by loves skiing at Ski Brule. And that's not all you can do here at Gadwall Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go                  whitewater paddling on Pine River, needless to say you could also stop by Horn Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. If you came for an overnight stay Kentuck Lake Campground is a tremendous place to camp, and camping is available at Windsor Dam Campground. Gadwall Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
