Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Iron Mountain, and you're sure to come across some fine folks from Iron Mountain here. The amount of rainfall that falls at Fox Lake is close to the national average; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. | | Section Nine Lake is a tremendous spot to explore. Super 8 Iron Mountain MI is a delightful location to get some rest, and lakes are such serene spots, why not explore Robbins Pond.
Throughout the summer at Fox Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Fox Lake. There's so much to do | |

here at Fox Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Lake Resort is a wonderful location for that, and there's whitewater on Michigamme River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
What a spot this is for outdoors folks. You can run the rapids of Brule River close to Fox Lake, and you can hit the slopes at Norway Mountain nearby.

I just took a 30 mile trip down this river with a group of 6 and three canoes. I thought it was great overall. There are a few shallow spots where we had to get out of the boat and pull it through the water but otherwise the depth is good. As far as the quote ''pretty good campgrounds'' go, these were not easily found but can be set up in the less dense forests alongside the water. The stretch over the hemlock rapids is a bit difficult on the lower hemlock but the upper is an exciting though slightly wet ride. The overall current throughout the river is not too fast so some paddling is needed. Thats about it, this is a great river. The scenery is beautiful, and if your staying overnight the stars are miraculous, so enjoy the view. If your in the trees alot watch out for ticks, (they found me well) but other than that, enjoy the ride.... |
