Foster Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls during September, and the driest month of the year is February. Summit Mountain is wonderful and can be made out from Foster Lake; Foster Lake is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a perfect spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Foster       Lake. Swamps are out of the ordinary places and Grass Lake next to Foster Lake is no exception, and there are plenty of people from Marquette here at Foster Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Lake Angeline, and there's whitewater on Escanaba River - Middle Branch for all you adrenaline junkies. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Marquette, and what would winter be without some skiing at Marquette.                  After a long day outdoors Best Western Country Inn is a great site to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the Holyoke Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Voelker Lake is in the vicinity; Country Village RV Park is a fine local campground. Throughout the summertime months here at Foster Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's.
