The beauty of Forest Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Munising - Days Inn is a great place to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Chatham Ski Trail. The annual rain here at Forest Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is September; the driest month is February.

| | Lake that are great to go to, and there are other places here than Forest Lake, for example Cleveland Cliffs Basin. This lake is so wonderful. Au Train Falls is always fun to check out; Gladstone Ski Park is a very popular ski area close at hand. Hiking along the Valley Spur Ski Trail is good fun, and Forest Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Hovey Lake Campground is a perfect local campground.

Munising/Wetmore Area is a magnificent choice, and Forest Lake is right by the Addis Lakes Ski Trail. High temperatures at Forest Lake throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the
50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Forest Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Au Train River, and if you came to camp Au Train Lake Campground is a great site to do that.
