Ford Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. High temperatures at Ford Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Ford Lake plunge into the 10's. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Ford Lake called the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail, and

| | if you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Coopersville is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Peck Lake, and why not camp at Chinook Camping if you're here at Ford Lake. If you're a golfer then a magnificent nearby course is Ramshom Country Club, and Mud Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Going for a hike on the Cedar Creek Cycle Trail is always a great adventure, and camping is available at Lake Park Campground. This place, Ford Lake, it completely has so much outdoors cool stuff. The Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail is a nice hiking trail near Ford Lake.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipment for a reasonable fee.
