There's so much to do here at Fish Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wide Water Campground is a great site for that, and get wet paddling on Au Train River. A great nearby hotel is AmericInn Munising, and fine hiking is available along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side journey to Squaw Creek, and if you have time to spare, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a       national park worth checking out. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Fish Lake. You could also check out Carp Lake if you're here at Fish Lake; it's nearby, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Munising is a splendid location to spend a night or two. There are good places to look at along the Valley Spur Ski Trail, and if you've had enough of Fish Lake, Snipe Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Fish Lake is fine enough                  to spend more than a day at, Island Lake Campground is a fine local campground, and don't leave Fish Lake without first going for a hike along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Fish Lake is close to the national average; September is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 70's at Fish Lake while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's.
