From a precipitation point of view Fern Lake is a rather common site; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Take a hike on the Anvil Lake Trail System; camping is available at Windsor Dam Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Nelson Lake is a nearby lake that       you could visit, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Jungle Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Brule Mountain since you're here. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brule River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Kimball Creek                  Trail. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a magnificent location to spend a night or two; you can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Ski Brule. Be careful coming to Fern Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Pine River is a great whitewater spot close to Fern Lake; if you get bored of Fern Lake you could also stop by nearby Lake Twentytwo.
