If you get bored of Estes Lake, you could also take a look at nearby Saunder Lake, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Perch River. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Take a hike on the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails. You'll       need more than a day to look at everything Estes Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lower Dam Lake Campground. The amount of rain that falls at Estes Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Estes Lake is not the only place nearby, Skip Lake is a nearby lake. There's so much to do here at Estes Lake that you need to camp here                  for a while, Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground is a fine spot for that. Through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 80's at Estes Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
