Ely Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Ely Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter       are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Ely Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Sunset Motel, obviously you could also take a look at Mud Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Timber Ridge is a glorious local ski area; you'll meet a lot of people from Allegan here. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Ely Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wilderness                  Ridge Campground; a lake close by is Little Tom Lake.
