Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff close to Edwards Lake. Going for a hike on the Center Fireline Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and camping at Welcome Motel is always a nice experience. An average amount of rain falls at Edwards Lake; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February is the month       with the least moisture. You could also stop at Gear Lake if you're here at Edwards Lake; it's close by, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Lame Duck Truck Trail. There is a splendid hiking trail near Edwards Lake called the Mosquito Alley Truck Trail, and Edwards Lake is not the only spot nearby, Chatman Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Edwards Lake is not far at all from Midland, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn                  West Branch is a nice place to spend a night or two. Edwards Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Lake George Campground is a glorious local campground. During the summertime highs here at Edwards Lake get into the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
