     You get a delightful view of Comstock Hills from East Twin Lake. Lakes? Sure, Little Wolf Lake is close by. Summer brings highs in the 80's to East Twin Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for East Twin Lake. The yearly rain here at East Twin Lake is about average; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Shady Acres Campground if you're here at East Twin Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Treetops Resort. If you came for an overnight stay Sno-Trac Village is a good place to camp, and there are other places here than East Twin Lake, for example Tea Lake.

...etops is located five miles east of the Alpine Village of Gaylord, Michigan. It receives an annual snowfall of 175 inches, which provides the ideal setting for fantastic Alpine and Nordic skiing. Twenty-three downhill runs wind their way through the majestic hardwood forest that covers the 400-acre winter park. Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert.
