Bear Lake is a lake around here, and camping at Whispering Pines Family Campground is always a nice experience. You're probably hooked on lakes, Mallard Lake is one of those close by, and East Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Tanuga is a good local campground. If you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Kalkaska is a great choice. The warmest time of the year at East Lakes comes with high temperatures       in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to East Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Grayling is a wonderful site to spend a night or two; you can never get enough of the good skiing at Hanson Hills.
