Good hiking is available along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail, and why not camp at Whispering Oaks Campground and Cabins if you're here at East Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Perch Lake next to East Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and there's great hiking along the North Country National Scenic Trail. While you're here at East Lake, you could       also pop by picturesque Bass Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at East Lake; August is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. If you like the outdoors, you'll fancy East Lake. At East Lake all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's.
