Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Kalamazoo River, and you can stay the night at Coldbrook County Park. You'll need more than a day to explore everything East Lake has to offer, you can camp at Oak Shores Resort Campground; if you need a place to stay Quality Inn Kalamazoo is a nice choice. The annual rainfall here at East Lake is about average; September is the wettest month with       most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Really great skiing awaits you at Bittersweet, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Airport. This lake is so wonderful. People from Kalamazoo-Portage love to come to East Lake, and a golf course nearby is Hickory Ridge Golf Course & Driving Range. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at East Lake get into                  the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's.
