Beautiful East Lake has much to offer visitors. If you love the outdoors, you'll go for East Lake. East Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, East Lake Camping is a good place to camp nearby, and of course, this is a perfect area for people who like lakes, Leggett Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Some of the water close by flows, like Bear Creek, and if you need a place to stay Budget Host Sunset Motel is a good choice. East Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is September while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll need more than a day to discover everything East Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hungry Horse Campground, and you're sure to run into | |

You can never get enough of the great skiing at Bittersweet; a perfect close by hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Grand Rapids SW/Byron Center. For the period of the warm days of summer at East
Lake highs are typically in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for East Lake tend to be in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Timber Ridge; golf can be played at Lake Monterey Golf Course.

Bittersweet
 | Bittersweet has enormous snow-making capacity and is consistently the first to open in SW Michigan. Their vertical is only 350 ft, but that's about 100 more than any other resort in SW Michigan. As noted, their lift system is impressive, particularly the high speed detachable quad, but lines can get a little long on late December weekends. Their terrain park has a good variety of boxes, jumps, etc. Very friendly people....Yea you guys rock i love the snow...Ahh yes, Bittersweet Ski Area... Michigan skiing at it's very best. The drops in these part of the country are not that impressive but I think Bittersweet makes the most of it. I do recommend this ski area.... |

It is not very big, but all of the employees are cool and you never have to wait in line to get on the lift. They sometimes seem to overestimate the amount of snow that they have also. I sometimes wonder if they actually measure the snowpiles that have been plowed in the parking lot instead of what is actually on the hill.... |
