West Bear Lake is a pleasant lake close to East Bear Lake, and Wild Eagle Lodge is a perfect place to get some rest. There are some great whitewater spots on Ontonagon River - Middle Branch, and if you came to camp Lynx Campground is a good location to do that. During the summer months highs here at East Bear Lake reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Highs through the       winter are generally in the 10's while East Bear Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's. That right there is a heap already, but it goes on; East Bear Lake has it all. Some nearby water includes Zigzag Creek, and if you come at the right time of year, Ontonagon River offers some delightful whitewater. From a precipitation point of view East Bear Lake is a relatively common place; of all the months in a year August is the one with                  the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at East Bear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wolf Campground is a magnificent place for that, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Lac Vieux Desert Golf Course.
