Eagle Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If you need a spot to stay Jackson Travelodge is a great choice; if you get bored of Eagle Lake you could also stop at close by Saint John Lake. There's so much to do here at Eagle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hideaway Campground is a good place for that, and of course Batteese Creek flows through this region. Eagle Lake gets a typical amount of rain; June is the wettest month with

High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Eagle Lake fall into the 10's. Mud Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and the friendly people of Jackson like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need | |

more than a day to look at everything Eagle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Oaks Campgrounds, and Holiday Inn JACKSON NORTHWEST is a good site to get some rest. Having a great time at Eagle Lake is easy. If you're a golfer
then a great close by course is Lakeland Hills Golf Club, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Red Cedar River.

Juniper Hills Campground
 | 13 miles away Juniper Hills is under new management! Weekend campers are now welcome.Unfortunately there is not much for children to do at Juniper Hills. This would be more the type of place for a quiet getaway weekend....Juniper Hills is the place to be race weekends for a GREAT spring break like party. If you are looking to relax and have good family fun its not the place to be. I would not suggest taking anyone under the age of 18 here race weekend. It is adult spring break. If you wanna party this is THE place to be on race weekend. I enjoyed it very much and would return. Quiet hours run 3 am - 8 am.... |
Bruin Lake
 | 18 miles away First visit was a pleasant one. Boat launch is real shallow, I have a Glastron SX 175 v hull and had difficulty getting boat to clear trailer without backing tow vehicle farther into lake than usual. From there, things just got better. The water is pleasantly clean, but very shallow on the north side. However, the channels connecting Bruin to the other lakes are great. We spent all day on the water. Blind lake is a beautiful little lake with several sand bars, a swimming platform and a couple of rope swings for the kids to get out of the boat and play on. Overall, we were very pleased with the fact that we chose Bruin rather that our normal haunt Portage.... |
