If you came to camp Mio Pine Acres Campground is a nice place to do that. Lakes are good; Dollar Lake is a lake that's next to Dutch Lake. A typical amount of rain falls here at Dutch Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Camping at Lyons Landing & Travel Trailer is always a glorious experience, and of course, this is a magnificent area for folks who like lakes, Indian Lake is a lake around here.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Cedar Valley Golf Club is a golf course close to Dutch Lake, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Alpena for sure. High temperatures at Dutch Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Dutch Lake. | |

Island Lake
 | I have fished this lake for bluegills and have had great success. Some of the bluegills were 9 1/2 inches long. The water is very clear requiring 2 to 4 pound test line. Use half crawler with a small hook, #6, with a small split shot or at times no weight. Fish the deeper water by drifting until you find the fish then anchor. There are largemouth bass in this lake but they run undersize at around 11 to 12 inches. I used an electric motor to get around. The lake is small enough that you can row with your oars. During the spawning season,mid June, I fished the shoreline around the lake and caught the gills on their spawning beds. I have limited out many days fishing this lake with some nice size bluegills. I hand launched a boat at the camp ground there which charges a daily fee and parked in the parking lot.... |

I was just at Cranberry Lake on July 7, 2007. It was beautiful. I went fishing and caught many fish. I also went jet sking, paddle-boating, on a pontoon boat and fished off the dock. The view was amaizing, espcially the sunset. I loved it here and can't wait to come back.... |
