An average amount of rain falls at Duck Lake; throughout September this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Crystal Mountain, and Duck Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Cycle-Moore       is a magnificent local campground. Mason Creek is a pleasant local stream. And that's not all you can do here at Duck Lake. If you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Traverse City is a pleasant choice; camping at Traverse City Koa is always a brilliant experience. Fairfield Inn & Suites Traverse City is a perfect spot to get some rest, and an afternoon playing golf at Interlochen Golf Club is always a pleasure. This lake is so wonderful. The McKenzie Ski Trail                  is a glorious hiking trail near Duck Lake; a journey to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is worthwhile. If the weather is magnificent here at Duck Lake, you can go for a hike along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail; the good folks of Traverse City like to hang out close by. Through the months of summer at Duck Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Duck Lake.
