For the period of the months of summer highs here at Dow Lake get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Dow Lake. Mackinaw City Camping is a brilliant local campground, and why not head up to Nubs Nob and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful.       Wilderness Golf Course is a great golf course close by; dry warm beds await you at Mackinaw Beach and Bay All Suites Resort. So much cool stuff to do at Dow Lake, so little time. Go for a hike on the Horseshoe Bay Trail. Take a side visit to Mud Creek, and Dow Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Mackinaw Campgrounds is a good site to camp nearby. The yearly rainfall here at Dow Lake is about average; of all the months in a year September                  is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
