All through the long summer days at Dorsey Lake highs are regularly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 20's; night lows throughout the winter for Dorsey Lake tend to be in the 10's. If the weather is splendid here at Dorsey Lake,       you can go for a hike along the Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Chatham Ski Trail. The annual precipitation here at Dorsey Lake is about average; September is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Escanaba River State Forest is worth a visit, and Silver Lake is a brilliant lake nearby. You can run the rapids of Chocolay River right next door                  to Dorsey Lake, and why not take a little spree to McMaster Creek if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Laughing Whitefish Campground is always a perfect experience, and lakes are such serene places, why not visit Laughing Whitefish Lake.
