     Camping at Elkwood Campground is always a pleasant experience, and dry warm beds await you at Treetops Resort. Stewart Lake is a glorious lake close to Dollar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Dollar Lake, for example Silver Lake; needless to say East Branch Black River flows through this neighborhood. Summertime at Dollar Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's.  
   For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Dollar Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
Dollar Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; the month with most of the rain is September; February is the month with the least moisture. You can run the rapids of Ocqueoc River close to Dollar Lake, and Dollar Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Acres Campground is a good local campground.

Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Treetops also offers extreme (snow) tubing. The tubing ride is available by 1.5 hour sessions for up to 30 people at a time. Advance reservations can be made for this exhilarating experience. ...
