Near Dollar Lake you stumble on the North Country National Scenic Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and camping is available at Pere Marquette Campground. A delightful close by hotel is Ramada Inn & Convention Center Ludington Mi. The Indian       Trail is a great hiking trail near Dollar Lake, and not far from Dollar Lake you'll come across Round Lake which is a picturesque lake.
