Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sturgeon River; there's splendid hiking along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails. A great location to camp here at Dog Lake is Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground; Brule Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity.
