Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sturgeon River; there's splendid hiking along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails. A great location to camp here at Dog Lake is Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground; Brule Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. All through the summertime months here at Dog Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime
