Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Dipper Lake with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Dipper Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Kimble Lake       is close by; you can go for a hike on the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Wedge Lake; good hiking is available along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the neighborhood of Dipper Lake. Visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and there's good hiking along the Valley Spur Ski Trail. A normal                  amount of rain falls here at Dipper Lake; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest of the months is February. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dipper Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wide Water Campground; AmericInn Munising is a great spot to get some rest.
