Pine Nob is a great local ski area; Crystal Creek Pines is a good local campground. There is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Dipper Lake called the Grass Lake Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Kings Landing RV Resort is a good place to camp. So much enjoyable stuff near Dipper Lake, truly mind-boggling. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lapeer Inn. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Dipper       Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Dipper Lake through the winter mostly sink into the 10's. Millers Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and Fairfield Inn By Marriott Lapeer is a good spot to get some rest. From a precipitation point of view Dipper Lake is a rather typical place; the month of September is the wettest                  with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
