Sure, Loda Lake is in the neighborhood. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn BIG RAPIDS is a wonderful choice; not far from Diamond Lake you'll hit upon Blacksmith Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a delightful hiking trail right next door to Diamond Lake called the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail, and White River Roughing Area Campground is       a glorious campground nearby. From a precipitation point of view Diamond Lake is a rather common spot; most of the rain falls during August; the driest of the months is February. High temperatures at Diamond Lake during the summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Diamond Lake descend into the 10's. Going                  for a hike on the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail is always a perfect adventure, and nearby you stumble on the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail.
