     This is a nice region for people who like lakes. Middle Lake is a lake close by, and a good close by hotel is Holiday Inn ALPENA. Throughout the summertime at Devils Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Devils Lake are in the 0's. The amount of rainfall that falls at Devils Lake is close to the national average; August  
   is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. You can take a little trip to McConnell Dam since you're here at Devils Lake, and for you golfers we recommend close by Alpena Golf Club.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Of Alpena is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and Campers Cove RV and Campground is a good campground nearby. Good hiking is available along the Norway Ridge Trail.
 
               Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff right next door to Devils Lake. Go for a hike on the Devils Lake Trail, and the friendly folks of Alpena like to hang out close by.
Lakes are delightful; Lake Besser is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Devils Lake, and Thunder Bay RV Park and Campground is a perfect local campground.

stopped off here in june or july '06 on our way to the u.p. but just wanted to say it was beautiful here from the animals, to thunder bay I went and canoed it 'bout midnight to 2 in the morn. with my travel party. the bay itself was fantastic shallow as can be. every one there was friendly. going back in spring of '07 with the rest of my family...Love to camp at Ossineke! Definitely rustic. Count on usually friendly neighbors (including the squirrels and chipmunks). Beautiful area!...
