The beauty of Deer Lake is reason enough to stop by. Country Village RV Park is a splendid local campground, and Marquette-Days Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Deer Lake you'll probably meet some people from Marquette. There are other places here than Deer Lake, for example Lake Angeline, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Garlic River.

| | already, but it continues; Deer Lake has it all. Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a splendid campground nearby, and if the weather is lovely, you acquire a good view of Pilot Knob from Deer Lake. No need to travel far to take a look at out of the ordinary stuff like Last Bluff, and Marquette is a brilliant local ski area. Take a little trip to Carp Creek if you're here at Deer Lake, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Escanaba River - Middle Branch.

Deer Lake gets a common amount of rain; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is magnificent here at Deer Lake, you can go for a hike along
the Holyoke Trail, and a great close by hotel is Best Western Country Inn. High temperatures at Deer Lake through the summertime months are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Deer Lake.
