The Holyoke Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you're here, you could explore Carp Creek. Soar                  down the rapids of Escanaba River - Middle Branch in a kayak; Deer Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a nice location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Marquette while you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Country Inn. This lake is so wonderful. During your spree to Deer Lake you'll meet some people from Marquette for sure, and on a pretty day you obtain a brilliant panorama of Pilot Knob from Deer Lake.
