The annual rainfall here at Deer Lake is about average; most of the rain falls all through September, and the driest month is February. Through the summer months highs here at Deer Lake get into the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Deer Lake descend       into the 10's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chocolay River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Lake; Addis Lakes Ski Trail is a tremendous local trail. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Deer Lake. Silver Falls is a charming place to pop by while you're at Deer Lake; glide down the rapids of Au Train River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Chatham Ski Trail, and dry warm                  beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Ginpole Lake, and you can stay the night at Au Train Lake Campground.
